It all became clear to me as I watched the young come up out of the water to the sound of applause and his immediate reaction was to lift his hand as to say OH YEAH, GIVE IT UP FOR ME! To which he precede to beat his chest with his fist. No, I was not a rain soaked football game. What I had just witnessed was a modern day baptism. Yes I will concede that the young man was young, but I think that in hiss innocence, he embodied all that is wrong with the gospel today.
